You can place residential AT&T Internet, AT&T Phone, U-verse TV, DIRECTV, or Fixed Wireless Internet on a temporary hold for 60 days.. To be eligible for a suspension, your service has to have been active for 30 days, and your account must be current. During this time you:
• Will have limited or no access to the service(s) on hold
• Won’t have a monthly plan charge.
• May be responsible for monthly equipment or other AT&T fees as well as any applicable surcharges and taxes.
Have AT&T Internet, AT&T Phone, or U-verse TV on a combined bill? You can’t suspend these services individually. A request to suspend will apply to all of these services on the combined bill.
Heads up: We can’t process an online suspend request for business accounts or if your service is already suspended.
You can cancel residential DSL High Speed Internet or Traditional Home Phone online (business accounts aren’t eligible). If you cancel either service, and change your mind, we may not be able to restore the service or phone number to your location. If your service is:
· Part of a bundled discount, the price of remaining services (if any) may revert to then-existing price for such service.
· Part of a combined bill, the remaining service(s) will continue to be billed unless cancelled.
· Subject to a term plan, you’ll be subject to any early termination fee associated with that plan.

What is the role of AT&T in the FirstNet network?
After a rigorous, competitive process, the First Responder Network Authority selected AT&T as the nationwide public safety broadband network provider. AT&T is responsible for building and maintaining the entire network, including deploying the Core Network and assuming operational, financial, and technical responsibilities associated with the first responder network, while also offering FirstNet services. This first of its kind public-private partnership is driving innovative solutions for public safety, allowing public safety to cost-effectively advance its capabilities.
What is the role of public safety in the creation of the FirstNet network?
Public safety officials have worked closely with – and been a part of - the First Responder Network Authority since its inception in 2012. FirstNet’s outreach and consultation efforts have connected with more than 1.8 million public safety stakeholders across the country, consulting extensively with each single point of contact (SPOC) in each of the 50 U.S. states, five territories, and the District of Columbia, as well as local/municipal/tribal/federal and public safety leaders. FirstNet also coordinates with and receives input from the public safety community through the Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC), which provides guidance and public safety subject matter expertise.
It may take longer to reach us by chat or phone, and our store hours have changed. But, we’re still open for business and here for you.
Are AT&T retail stores open?
Select retail stores will stay open Monday through Saturday with reduced hours. To ensure proper social distancing, we're limiting the number of customers allowed in our stores at the same time and offering curbside pickup for online orders at open AT&T stores for existing customers.
We encourage existing wireless, DIRECTV, U-verse TV, and internet customers to use myAT&T for upgrades, bill payments, and troubleshooting. This will allow us to focus on critical customer needs in-store.
AT&T cares about the health of our customers and employees, and we’re being cautious.
Therefore, we'd like to let you know that our technicians may not enter your home if anyone there is: sick or quarantined; has traveled to a high-risk Level 3 country (see CDC list) in the last 14 days (including changing planes or trains there); or has been in close contact with anyone with coronavirus or who has traveled to or through a high-risk country in the last 14 days.
You can check your current appointment status or make changes here.
The fastest and most convenient way to place a new order or modify an existing service is online. Almost everything you can do in an AT&T store or via customer service can be done on att.com or, for existing customers, myAT&T.
And AT&T offers fast, free, no-contact delivery to your doorstep for many of our products. Existing customers can choose Curbside Pickup in select locations.
